Does The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store pick up donated items?
We will be happy to pick up any large items that you would like to donate. Pick Ups can be arragned by calling 540.949.6426 during business hours. Picks Up are generally made every Tuesday between 9:00am - 4:30 pm.
Does The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store provide receipts for donated items?
Absolutely! Anytime you donate to us we will provide you with an itemized receipt for your tax purposes.
Why Does the Family Thrift Store not allow refunds and exchanges?
Generally, refunds and exchanges are not permitted at our Family Thrift Stores. Our store staff do their very best to inspect and test all items. Unfortunately, we are not able to gurantee every item simply because the goods are donated to us used. Also, all items are sold used at a fraction of their original cost. The low cost nature of the store and the fact that all proceeds are used to fund the programs and social services of The Salvation Army in the community make it cost prohibitive to offer refunds and exhanges.
It is best for all customers to inspect any item before the are purchased. All items are sold as is, no refunds and no exchanges.
